The human barbarian isn't unlocked by the swordsmanship trophy... I have the trophy but the character is still locked
That's odd. Swore I got the Barbarian after getting Swordsmith. Wish I could reset my data and try again from the start :/
probably it's linked to the number of deaths as for the other characters
I've confirmed that character unlocks are tied to Deaths/Wins only. I originally noted that the Knight was unlocked after 9 deaths in another test. I installed the game on a different system, immediately sought the Wooden Spoon for my first death, but the Knight did not unlock after getting that trophy. Instead, he came after 9 again.

Actually, the formula for unlocking the next character is n^2 (where n = the character tier minus 1, minus total wins, to a minimum of 3).
I'm creating a new sortable table with the tiers, but having trouble with formatting.
